Microentrepreneurship award 2008 |
This
is third time in series; we got awarded as a best practitioner
in Microfinance field.
This is an honor
to share with entire Safwco family that two of the CED Clients
have won Best National Entrepreneur (Female)
and simultaneously Provincial category
runner up award under Citi - PPAF Micro-Entrepreneur Award
2008, besides this two of the CED Staff have also awarded
as Special Recognition Awards.
The details
are as under:
1- Ms.
Sahibzadi of Bughio Mohalla, Bhitshah District
Matyai has been an active client of CED-Safwco and successfully
completed three cycles of loans. She has repeated loans
and deals in Livestock and tailoring. Her case study was
sent for award nomination and was short listed. She has
won 1st Best National Micro-Entrepreneur Award 2008. She
was given a cheque worth PKR 150,000/- in a ceremony at
Islamabad .
2- Mr.
Mohammad Naeem of Shaikh Mohalla, Bhitshah District
Matyari has been an active client of CED-Safwco and successfully
completed five cycles of loans. He has repeated his loans
and deals with Pan Cabin and Wholesaler of it. His case
study was sent for award nomination and was short listed.
He has won the Provincial category runner up award
2008. He was given a cheque worth PKR 35,000/-
in a same ceremony at Islamabad .
Besides this,
Ms. Shehnila Khaskheli, APO-MF Branch Office
Bhitshah and Mr. Ghulam Abbas Narejo, Branch
Incharge, Settlement Branch Odero Lal have also won the
Special Recognition (Best Credit Officer) Award
worth PKR 30,000/- and PKR 20,000/- respectively under Citi
– PPAF Micro-Entrepreneur Award 2008 at the ceremony.
The
management of CED extends cordially congratulations to the
above referred Entrepreneurs and Credit Officers and will
that the entire Safwco staff will take similar efforts for
winning such awards in future strives.

The
Safwco Management has the honour to share with entire Safwco
family that two of the CED clients have won Citigroup-PPAF
Microentrepreneurship award 2007.
The details
are as under:
Regional
Best Micro Entrepreneur (Award Rs. 75000)
Mr.
Dhoongar Mal client of SAFWCO Urban Branch Shahdadpur
Shoe Maker by profession and a valued client of our Microfinance
Program.
His Story
Although I was skilled and experienced in shoe and chapel
making, at that time I had not money to purchase the desired
raw material to make my products for selling to get profit.
But, now this problem was solved and I borrowed Rs.5,000
rupees from SAFWCO and purchased the raw material and once
again I restarted my business. Now my income generation
increased and had a good survival. At the end of year I
paid all the installments” he shared about the first
loan.
Now he has sufficient savings and opened up little ladies
chaple factory in partnership with another person with an
investment of Rs.47, 000 which includes Rs.40, 000 on his
part and Rs.7, 000 by his partner.

His feelings
“It was great opportunity for me to participate in
this event and meet with key players of microfinance. I
am thankful to SAFWCO as an organization
and its Management Specially the Chief Mr. Suleman G. Abro
for encouraging and providing me the opportunity and space
to work with commitment. I would suggest other Loan Officers
to perform their jobs with hard working and then only the
success will not be far away from them.”
This shows nothing but the Visionary leadership, commitment,
sincerity, hard work by the staff, loyalty and professionalisms
of our well selected clients which is our strength today.

Microentrepreneurship award 2006 .
The details are
as under:
Ms. Jamzadi
of Village Bajhi Rind Taluka Shahdadpur District Sanghar has
been an active client of Safwco CED for the last four years.
She has repeated loans for five times. Her last loan was PKR
25, 000/-. She deals in Livestock Rearing and Management.
Her case study was sent for award nomination and was short
listed. She has won the 2nd national award under Global Microfinance
Entrepreneur Awards 2006. She was given a check worth PKR
100, 000/- in a ceremony last week in Islamabad.
Mr. Muhammad
Essa, a grossary merchant in CU-IV Shahdadpur has
been an active client of Safwco CED for the last three and
more years. He has been repeating his loans. His last loan
was PKR 25, 000/-.His case study was sent for award nomination
and was short listed. He has won the 2nd national award under
Global Microfinance Entrepreneur Awards 2006. He was given
a check worth PKR 100, 000/- in a ceremony last week in Islamabad.
Besides, Ms. Saira
Siddiqui, APO Safwco CED Regional Branch Shahdadpur and Mr.
Ali Asghar Johio, APO Safwco CED Urban Branch Shahdadpur have
also won the best Credit Officer award worth PKR 15, 000/
- under Global Microfinance Entrepreneur Awards 2006 at the
same ceremony.
The management

entire Safwco staff will take similar efforts for winning
such awards in future.
