Mr. Qurban Ali Shah
 
Qurban Ali shah is a development professional with Master’s degree in Science from the University of Sindh Jamshoro and attended various local and foreign short training courses. Initial experience as field officer for two years with SAFWCO became the foundation of community development initiatives across the civil society spectrum. A combination of the work experience with national/international development/humanitarian organisations and participation national and international capacity building events has deepened the understanding of issues related with advocacy and capacity building. Over 16 years involvement with civil society organisations provided opportunities to manage integrated development and advocacy projects for marginalized segments of the society.

As a Project Manager for Chotiari Affectees Resettlement Project mobilized the local communities for the resettlement package and advocated the issues with government authorities for the period of a year. Organised seminars for the public awareness on RBOD in Dadu Sindh, during working with Indus Resources Center IRC). Mobilised networks of community citizen boards (CCBs), to advocate the issues of CCBs with local government authorities during the association with DTCE/UNDP.

Capacity development of civil society mid level organisations through facilitation of training events and material development on various themes and subjects, national and internationally. Worked in emergencies such as relief, rehabilitation and livelihood interventions on managerial position worked with national and international organisations such as SAFWCO, Oxfam-GB, IMC, DTCE, ADPC-Bangkok.

Expertise in proposal writing, project budget and progress reports with sufficient computer skills and knowledge. Managed the teams of different backgrounds and diversified expertise.
