Mr. Haider Bhurgri

is a senior Consultant. He has put in more than 30 years doing wide and varied assignments as an active Development Worker. With strong inter personal interaction ability and sound academic background; he has proved as an asset in delivering the quality out put in all of the fields that he worked in.

Having started as Radio Journalist, he moved on to become the Development Communication specialist, the job that he continuously pursued for several years. During the past decade and half he performed in wide and varied fields working for INGOs, NGOs and Special Projects. With his Sociology background he especially made a mark in ‘Social Mobilization and Community Participation as well as HRD fields especially Curriculum designing and training delivery. He also specializes in “non formal and distance Education as well as Educational Technology…….

He has worked with almost all donors and world agencies such as;

World Bank, Asian Dev Bank, UNDP, AKRSP, NORAID, Commonwealth of Learning (COL) Canada, DFID (ODA) UK, several International and National NGOs and Government sector Agencies. He has Rapport with Donors, Media Community, Senior Government Functionaries, Development workers, Community Leaders and Public Representatives

He has taken two academic qualifications – Sociology from Sindh University and Communications, from Ohio State University Columbus Ohio USA. In addition he has attended several attachments, trainings and senior courses at International level in complimentary fields.

He is a thorough professional with proven abilities in Management, Planning, Leadership, Team Leader, Capacity Building, and quality Reporting, HRD, Communications and Educational issues. His understanding of development issues gives him an edge to conceive and apply solutions. He is personally an amenable person with inter personal communication trait and can play as team member….  Beside Pakistan he has worked in Bangla Desh too.
He also has an edge in knowing many languages.

He essentially hails from interior Sindh but has settled down in Islamabad. He has wide and varied interests in all facets of all life yet committed to rights issues.
