Ms Fiza Qureshi is a development professional, director and hostess of TV programs, and a civil society activist. She has acquired MBA and MA (Sindhi) and has acquired LLB degrees. She also completed three years study in civil engineering. She has more than 10 years professional experience in marketing, gender, development research, monitoring and evaluation, community development, management, electronic media (radio & TV), social mobilization, editing and teaching. She has been actively involved in organizing trainings, workshops and seminars. She is also the alumini of Wilton Park conference, Sussex, UK.
Ms. Qureshi has worked in development research projects sponsored by the World Bank, ADB, Oxfam, ActionAid, ENI, Sindh Rural Support Program, Management and Development Centre and other NGOs. She has written several articles in leading Sindhi leading newspapers Kawish and Ibrat on public issues particularly on women and development. Ms. Qureshi has undertaken several field research assignments related to community development, health, education, disaster management and income generation in the coastal areas of Thatta district. She has acquired experience in community development, women empowerment, capacity building, social development, organizational management, field surveys, focus group discussion, and participatory rapid appraisal. |
